Theory of the field
A square matrix. Each cell holds an actor. Each actor has a life value in [-1, 1] and seven chakras of openness. A chakra is a radius of care.
The seven radii
Inside the cell. Heals oneself; the life-battery holding what you already have.
The 3×3 immediate neighbourhood. The first reach beyond skin.
Linear next ring. The known, the daily.
Wider neighbourhood. The community of practice.
Voice across distance. Speech that travels.
The pattern beneath the surface — wide enough to see structure.
The whole board. Synchronization with the main stream.
The step rule
Open count is the sum of positive chakra values. Synergy is openCount / 7. More open chakras multiply each other's effect.
For each open chakra, take the mean life within its radius, weight by openness, and multiply by synergy. The cell drifts toward this aggregate.
Open root pulls life toward +1. A closed root means you must rebuild from zero each step.
When both root and crown are positive, the cell illuminates: information flows from inside to whole, and life is amplified by their product.
A closed crown causes annoyance — chakras irritate each other, inverse-multiplying back into the original scale.
The zen scalar
zen = 0.5 · ((mean life + 1) / 2)
+ 0.3 · (1 − stddev of life)
+ 0.2 · (illuminated cell ratio)The zen scalar is abstract. You cannot integrate it back into the field — but it emulates a model of you, that can.
